Re: Hanged Girls Thread! (Caution: Many Photos)
Here is the story behind the photo: Man in police custody over wife’s death Posted by News Updates on July 28, 2011 at 2:19am in Nigeria Crime News Read more: http://www.gbooza.com/page.html#ixzz456 http://www.gbooza.com/group/crime/fo...#ixzz1Zcx8Kbcw Officers of the homicide department of the State Criminal Investigation Department have arrested Chinedu Andrew, whose wife allegedly committed suicide on July 6. The corpse of Elizabeth, 48, a former staff of the State House at Dodan Barracks, was found dangling in her apartment at 17 Irawo-Owuro Street Isheri-Oshun, Lagos State. Eye witnesses said that Mr Andrew, 44, alerted officers of the Isheri police station after he found that his wife had used a scarf to hang herself. The deceased was alleged to be struggling with depression brought about by her inability to bear a child. Officers of the homicide department arrested Mr Andrew following accusations by the deceased's brother, Mr Okechukwu, that the husband had a hand in the death having been guilty of maltreating her in the past. Mr Andrew, however, denied the allegation stressing that his wife had been mentally ill and depressed, as a result of her inability to conceive. He added that the ill health led to the termination of her employment at Dodan Barracks, a situation which, he said, worsened her depression. "I do not know anything about killing my wife," said. "All I know is that my wife married late and she has fibroid and pile, she is mentally ill and this affected her life. "She has been depressed because of these problems she was having and I have taken her to hospital for her health to become okay," Mr Andrew said. Narrating how his wife died, earlier this month, Mr Andrew said that since she was relieved of her appointment at the State House, she had been idling away at home. "That day, I went to my shop where I sell second hand clothes and around 6pm I went home and I noticed that the door was locked, I called out to my wife but she did not respond. "I also went to the window but I could not see from the outside. I later called my wife's family to ask if they have seen her but they said she did not come to visit them so that was how I ended up sleeping outside the house till the next day. "When it was morning, I went to hire a ladder and with the help of my neighbours, I climbed the roof where I saw her hanging from the window I screamed, so that was how we called the police," Mr Andrew said. But Mr Okechukwu, the deceased's brother, however insisted that his sister was murdered. He accused Mr Andrew of maltreating his sister and causing her grief when she was alive. "My brother in-law has not been a good person to my sister, his wife, he was a lazy man who was relying on her for everything, even the house they live (in) she was the one who paid," said Mr Okechukwu. "She bought him a bus to drive when he complained of not having any work to do, but he later sold the bus; the wife also gave him money several times for business which he squandered. "So his attitude toward her contributed to her ill health and eventual death and the police should investigate him because my sister is his second wife and his first wife also died mysteriously," Mr Okechukwu added. The remains of the deceased have since been deposited in a public mortuary. Last week, 26 year old Motunrayo Obara, a former staff of Access Bank in Lagos allegedly committed suicide at her sister's residence at Allen Avenue following reports of depression and her inability to conceive. |

Contribute a relevant photo or something meaningful to any of the discussions at hand or get the fuck out of my thread. Useless, nattering parasites like you shouldn't even have posting privileges until you've managed to contribute something to the greater good of the board. You've been on DR less than a month and all you've added is the buzzing noise of baseless, ignorant, childish complaints. Many of which have been in all caps, to boot. Fuck off and find another board to pester. |
