New, Homicidal Hanging from Brazil

Fresh from this weekend. Mexican teenaged girl went out to eat with her grandmother, then came home and hung herself. She was in training to work in the family's mezcal business; parents requested that the media not inquire as to her reasons for suicide.

Grandma found her outside the house, strangled and dying, but was too frail and old to get her down in time.

Poor girl. Looks like she kicked hard enough to lose one of her shoes while she was choking in the noose. Anyway, here she is cut down:

I've heard it to be rare for a woman to hang herself, or at least slightly uncommon. Something about how not-elegant it is.
