Just to clarify, the officer placing the noose around her neck is not SS, he is a run of the mill Army officer, as indicated by the brockade and style of his peaked cap. So I would presume that the pictures were taken my normal German soldiers as opposed to any SS. I for one cannot see any SS in any of the pictures ?

For some reason I had been led to believe that SS was doing the photo-documenting. Though you're certainly correct that there aren't any pictured. She was actually arrested and executed by members of the Wehrmacht's 707 Infantry Division and the 2nd Schutzmannschaft Battalion (who I believe were Lithuanian auxiliaries).

Again, not sure why I had in my head that the SS was involved at all (aside from the fact that counter-insurgency versus partisan terrorists was sort of their purview), but I still thought that they were involved in the photo archiving process. Not going to stand behind that, though, as its all from sketchy memory.

Yup. Here are some more topical photos of her, for those interested. For those unaware, she was a spoiled rich girl who became the head of a small band of kidnappers, ransoming peoples' children for money to support her habits and lifestyle.

She was broken out of prison by a group of armed men who were initially considered 'allies', but it later turned out that they were vigilantes (possibly Cartel thugs working in the guise of vigilantes).

So while the police manhunt was on for the escaped prisoner, she was actually being held captive. On the third day after her release, the head of the vigilante gang sent a letter to a local paper telling them where to find her body.

They'd hanged her topless, while alive and conscious, from a footbridge just over the heads of a bunch of people waiting for the morning bus. Scene responders found some of her clothing, as well as signs of a struggle atop the bridge, so they determined that she fought fiercely all the way up to the point where the rolled her off the bridge.

Unfortunately, the drop wasn't long enough for how they rolled her, so according to the ME report, she strangled and choked in the agonies of strangulation rather than dying quickly to a broken neck.

Ultimately, though, she paid the iron price for her nefarious ways. Hanged in public with her tits out for all to see, and her jeans overflowing with her own shit and piss. Guess crime doesn't always pay, even in Mexico.
