Not new, but I don't believe she's in the thread anywhere. Cut down 17 year old girl in Mexico, hung herself in the lemon tree after a big fight with her mother.

I suspect that this is probably the case. I've reviewed more than 30 hanging-related autopsy reports in the past week and every single one of them, bar one, had a completely empty urinary bladder at the time of the postmortem investigation. And even the one with pee in her bladder had less than 10 cc's, which is barely an eyedropper's worth.

It was actually a surprising finding. The Danish study I quoted earlier only indicated complete bladder release in about 60% of asphyxiation cases. But it has been more like 95% in my personal experience with the autopsy reports. Of course the study mixed men and women together and all of the reports I have reviewed have been exclusively female asphyxiations.

This particular girl was outdoors on a warm day, so I suspect the urine stains just dried out, as you suggested. It was definitely an asphyxiation hanging.
