Genuinely wondering why the urination stains obsession? Is it some sexual reason that some people keep mentioning it? Not judging or anything, I've just noticed that it seems to be something people are wanting to see in these photos.

I was wondering the same thing. Piss is horrible unless the person is hydrated enough. And people usually aren't.

Idle fascination? I dunno...same reason people feel the need to mention seeing someone's brains on the dashboard in car accident photos? Or the missing/scattered flip-flops in so many Latin American deaths. Everyone can see it plainly, but it still gets mentioned every time in almost every single thread.

I mention it largely because I have had numerous arguments with people online who maintain that it simply doesn't happen and is all some sort of 'Hollywood myth' perpetuated by South Park. So I'll often make a point of drawing attention to it as sort of a personal 'fuck you' to people who have some weirdly romanticized view of hanging deaths and refuse to believe that most of these chicks die with dirty underpants.

I'm sure some folks mention it because it is a somewhat degrading/humiliating aspect of death for the victims. Same reason many threads on this forum spend a lot fo time making fun of dead peoples' clothes or hair styles or the circumstances of their death or whatever.

And, as you mentioned, I'm sure it is a sexual preoccupation for some people too. Pee play/golden showers/whatever are a pretty 'popular' niche fetish, moreso than just about everything but bondage and schoolgirls. So you gotta figure there's a handful of piss fetishists in any bunch of folks and that sort of thign is liable to get mentioned on a site like this.

So the gist is...there are lots of reasons that people draw attention to the urination. I'm sure it differs by poster, as with most things. but ultimately if you started comparing threads, I reckon you'd find half as many mentions of piss stains as you do of flip-flops and bad hairdos. :)

I thought about the humiliation aspect of it as well. Most people see hanging as quick and mess free. When I see urine or feces running down their leg, I almost get embarrassed for them. They wanted to die, not shit themselves.

And people really argue about the voiding of bowels whilst being hung? Really? I thought of that as common knowledge. And what's the South Park myth you speak of?

It just seemed sexual, to me at least, because of a particular post about a piss stain in pink shorts. I appreciate the fact that people point out similarities in each case. It's kinda cool.
