Versari Iris was an active participant of the Italian resistance during WWII. Iris with her friends (Silvio Corbari Arturo Spazzole and Adriano Casadei) were ambushed by the Nazis in Tredozio (Italy) on 08/18/1944. She was seriously wounded by Nazi soldiers. And herself to death to prevent him from dragging her frends and allow them to escape the Nazis. His body and the corpse of his friend Arturo Spazzole were hanged by the neck on the central square of Forli (Italy) on 08/19/1944 for a whole week.   |
