Four assailants, including a 15 years died after a shootout with the Military Police (PM), on the BR-365, on Friday (15). A fifth assailant was still on the loose when the article was written. According to the PM, the five men (three of them armed with firearms) entered a farm and made a couple, the caretaker of the property and his 12-year-old nephew as hostages. The robbers, three of them armed with a firearm, tied the hostages and kept them locked in a room while the boy was kept under the custody of one of the bandits.
At the end they stole $ 1,650 (about 730$ in cash, two shotguns, one 12 gauge and the other 36, and the family car.
The bandits entered the stolen car, kept the boy as hostage. After some time the teenager returned to the house and freed the ones who were tied. They called the police. The police set up roadblocks, but the first time the criminals shot and managed to pass through the barrier of a roadblock.
The PM then began a pursuit, more roadblocks were setup but the robbers apparently were not intimidated, fired into cars and drove on.
The chase ended somewhere when the fleeing car driver lost control of the steering and hit the curb. Despite the accident, the criminals got off the vehicle and shot at the police, who returned fire, with interests. Four died on the spot one fled the scene.
Three of the four bandits entered the Emergency Room lifeless. The fourth one died right after.
