Well, there's no spinal pix here. The pix show: 1) A surgically opened abdomen and peritoneal cavity of an overweight person, complete with visible bowel loops and internal fat. 2) same abdomen with the muscles sutured back together. That is what it looks like when the two sides of abdominal muscles are cut, then sewn back together. We can only guess at the reason he/she had surgery--but it appears to be a large incision, which usually means "exploratory" surgery, often in an emergency trauma case. |
