Do they smell of formaldehyde? Saw a petrified caveman or some shit in the Smithsonian and even with that 6 inch thick glass I could still smell it.

There's a creepy story about Gunther Von Hagens. It is said that he once used the body of a Russian guy for a new plastination, the circumstances of his death are not clear. On a Körperwelten exhibition the widow (who reported her husband missing some months ago) recognized him as he has a special tattoo on his arm. After that Von Hagens sliced the dead body into plastination chips to make the body irrecognizable. I'm not sure if this only an urban legend or if its real. |
