1. In Zaragoza, Chimaltenango, a human arm was found being surrounded by stray dogs. This triggered a search, which resulted in the discovery of a carbonized body of a woman in a ravine, which was approximately 220 metres deep. The identity of the woman has not yet been determined.






2. In Villa Nueva, a decomposed body was found in a forest besides the 'Ruta al Pacifico' highway. The head had been reduced to a skull.

A water bottle was found near the corpse, and it was via the bottle that family members identified the body as that of 59-year-old Thelma G.G.O., who had gone missing on 3rd August. She had told her family, before disappearing, that she was going on a walk. The cause of death is unknown.






3. At a hydroelectric reservoir in Escuintla, the body of a man, whose face was disfigured, was found. It is possible he was swept away by a nearby river.



4. In Planta La Laguna, Amatitlán, the body of an unidentified woman, aged around 25, was found. It is thought she died from a drug overdose.



5. In Villa Nueva, the dead bodies of two brothers - 31-year-old Roberto O.J.S. and 26-year-old Eduardo C.J.S. - were found in their apartment. They had both been strangled, with their hands and feet tied up.

An altar of 'Santa Muerte' - a personification of death and a folk saint in Mexican folk Catholicism and Neopaganism - was found in their apartment.







6. In Santa Cruz Muluá, Retalhuleu, a young motorcyclist was killed after colliding head-on with a truck.

Sad seeing these Guatemaian men & women suffer such a horrific end. Hopefully the poor man who died at the reservoir and the young woman from Planta La Laguna receive deserved respectful funeral and burials.

Looks like the two brothers got what they were searching for with that ugly ass altar. Why anyone would worship a pagan deity that represents death is beyond me, but maybe they got to meet him in hell
