That looks like plain old decomposition to me. Blistering and peeling skin is normal in advanced decomp as far as I know.

Yes. It's impossible to tell whether the person was fat or thin in life at that stage of decomp because of the bloat. They are unrecognizable.
I cannot begin to imagine the smell.
