Grenade in Passenger's Pocket Kills Family of Three in St Petersburg Taxi
During the morning rush hour on Tuesday, November 25, 2008, an explosion occurred at around 8:55 inside a private Lada Priora taxi in northern St Petersburg, about fifty metres from the Udelnaya metro station entrance. An F-1 hand grenade killed three passengers: former army officer Evgeny Simanov, 27, who worked in real-estate law; his partner, Maria Sandalova, 27, a department head at the investment holding KIT Finance; and Eva, their four-year-old daughter. Dmitry Korotkov, the 22-year-old driver, lived but sustained severe shrapnel injuries. Because Simanov had suffered much worse injuries than anyone else, investigators concluded that the grenade was carried in his pocket or secured to his belt and had exploded by accident. Terrorism was excluded that same day. Authorities opened a criminal case under the provision for murder by generally dangerous means, a standard procedural filing, while the city police chief said publicly that neither terrorism nor any crime had occurred. Investigators also reviewed papers recovered from the family's flat indicating that Simanov had substantial debts he was unable to pay, but there was no conclusion that the blast had been intentional.  ·  ·  ·

is it possible pictures and descriptions are misstake? car and that body doesnt look like victims of grenade explosion.

Your right, a grenade explosion inside the car would have completely obliterated the car and it's occupants.
