Grenade Aftermath in Iraq, From the 2004-2006 NTFU Photo Pool
The eight photographs record one nighttime scene rather than a compilation of unrelated incidents. Each frame bears a watermark showing that it was submitted to the NTFU photo pool operated by NowThatsFuckedUp. The site collected photographs from deployed military personnel and ran from February 2004 until April 2006, when it closed. That operating period establishes only when the photographs could have entered the pool, not when the scene occurred. The frames show a grenade safety pin, scattered human tissue, a body with severe head destruction and a spattered masonry building.

Re: Grenade Aftermath in Iraq, From the 2004-2006 NTFU Photo Pool
That pin would look good on a keyring; like the 1970s titanium heart valve I have on mine The splatter on the building reminds me of the July 7th bombing here in London. A tube train and bus were targetted. The destroyed bus was right outside the British Medical Council HQ and that building was covered in similar splatter which seemed ironic! Terrible day though |
