I have several, from snubbies all the way to Dirty-Harry-sized .357 Magnum pistols. Some recoil hard, some are surprisingly milder than you'd respect. Some are "flamethrowers", while others merely rock back in your grip and are surprisingly controllable.

FFS, my #1 AR-15 is light enough to be dual-gripped like a pistol and shot accurately. And the .223 Remington is much more powerful (in many ways) than the .357 Magnum.

I'm not saying she was murderd, but I'm also not saying it couldn't have happened as originally described. But a .357 mag pistol won't "jump out of your hand" or anything close. Fucking hell, even a (gasp) .44 Magnum won't do that, and I've shot plenty of them as well.

And suddenly my overly suspicious mind is kicking into overdrive...IF this was a homicide....and I am reaching so far with this I can high-five my friend in Swindon....maybe she was murdered with some sort of drug or chemical substance that stops the heart (ergo, the blood can't pump anymore) THEN shot??????? Too bad I'm not closer to my dad. He is a pathologist, and has done some forensic work. Went to a couple conferences with the pathologists who had to do identification for the 9/11 victims.
