I have seen this before... it comes from shooting junk. the addicts will obsessively pick at their arms even after it gets infected... uggggh. You should check out a documentary made by the Vancouver police (in Canada) about the drug problem on the lower east side. We have one of the worst open drug market, HIV and Hep C infection problems in the world...all neatly tcuked into a 16 block area. The documentary is called 'Through a Blue Lense'. They interview a junky who has this same shit going on her arms.... they talk to her about it and seh show them the scars on her upper arms where she already had these and had them heal. I guess they just don't learn.
