Golf Cart Accident
The info for the pics says: A couple of friends and I decided to do some twilight golfing one evening at our local golf course, Caledon Country Club, located in Ontario, Canada. There is a particular hole on this course, Hole 14 where you tee off on the top of a hill, then drive your cart down quite a steep hill to the green. This hole is notorious for people flipping, crashing or rolling golf carts while going down the hill More... Needless to say, we had been having a couple drinks and after we had all teed off, we hopped in the golf carts to go down the hill. Well, my two buddies paired up and started going down the hill, with me and my other buddy following in the cart behind. The friend driving the cart in front of us thought it would be a good idea to neutral drop the golf cart. Needless to say they began going way to fast, locked up the brakes, swerved side to side before flipping the cart onto its side and sliding down the hill which was made of pavement. The passenger had been holding onto the handle bar on the side of the cart when it flipped causing his knuckles to scrape across the pavement under the weight of the cart, he also had stuck his leg out in hopes of bailing out, but that clearly didnt happen, and the combined force shattered three bones in his foot under the weight of the cart. My friend was in a good amount of pain and didn't want to go anywhere right away so I snapped a couple pics. Lucky for us the clerk didn't take any of our ID or a deposit on the carts so we drove one cart back to the parking lot, grabbed my buddies truck, drove to the side of the road that runs alongside Hole 14, helped him in, then took him to emerg. The cart they flipped was fucked and wouldn't start so we bailed on it. He ended up having some surgery on his foot and is stuck with two metal plates in it for now, still gives him problems, his hand is pretty scared up too. He still gives our one buddy shit for neutral dropping the cart, but it was all in a lesson learned. |
