A series of different pictures that all show people with traumatic injuries after flying through a windshield.

But if we didn't have windshields how would we keep the bugs outta our teeth? I guess we could drive around with our mouths closed all the time, but what fun would that be? I like to sing when I'm going down the road.

that shit is NOT fucking fun.

i went thru a windshield in oct of 02.. 1:05 AM. not fun.. was very lucky my hat saved me from alot of pain and blood. hat stayed in the hole my head made.. still slammed my face off the dash and put my front teeth thru my lip.

the last person i saw go thru glass looks like a fucking christmas ham. then again, that kid is a piece of shit.. woulda rather seen him die.. lol

So in your opinion (not being an ass here) would it have been a better result had the windshield (windscreen for all you Brits out there) not been there? Or would it have caused more damage to you to have flown into the interior of the vehicle?

honestly, i might have been fucked up worse. it's a tough call. may have been ejected from the vehicle completely!!

if so, i would have dived head-on into a stoplight post and a cement curb.
it was a T-bone style accident. they hit right on my door ( i was a passenger in a minivan..)

i also am not sure if i woulda lived had i been buckled in. i saw it coming and moved away from the door! lol

my buddy who was driving said "the last thing i remember was you in my lap"
lol

never thought of that tho. good question..

hmmm... If I recall Japan tech companies are doing something with new types of windshields (windscreens ) that act more as a rubber bounce type deal than straight up glass, to prevent these types of injuries.
