Yeah, but the fact that she was drunk doesn't preclude assault. The test would be essentially pointless. Her friends already testified that she was loaded. No one's disputing that she was drunk.

Her parents just believe she was assaulted and killed while she was intoxicated.

The coroner disagrees (as do most people without an emotional investment like her parents), but documenting her BAC won't prove anything that isn't already known. And it won't disprove assault.
