Death was not completely bloodless. when the blood flowed out, the other side was blocked by the rail, so blood must have seeped under her chest and her hands under her.

Interesting. Based on this image,  would it be best for speed, efficiency and minimal trauma/suffering to do it the way she did - laying inside the two rails with head pointing out - or vice versa? The way she did it the inner part of the wheel is going to impact the upper back/shoulders and exert a downward force whereas the other way round would shove down the head quickly and pop off the head. Probably not much in it but if I was going to check out and had the choice of 1 second of pain or 1/10sec of pain, I'd go for the latter.  |
