German Man Commits Suicide in Hospital
8th April 2015 Phnom Penh, Cambodia A 54 year old German national who worked long term in Cambodia as a dentist, shot himself in the head whilst staying in hospital. Staff responded to the sound of gunshots at around 04.30, and discovered the man had a fatal wound to the head. The man was undergoing treatment for terminal colon cancer. It later emerged that a son-in-law had smuggled the weapon into the hospital, at the deceased's request. The son-in-law was subsequently arrested for illegally supplying a firearm. |

In Switzerland 3500 CHF you get a cocktail and going into deep coma after 30 seconds and sleep forever Although more expensive and painless than like a headshot, but I think even a better solution No pain from the bullet, no possible dying after the gunshot, just only fall into deep sleep forever |

I hope the son in law doesn't have to do time for this. What a predicament to find yourself in, when a loved one is begging you to help them end their life due to terminal cancer. |

Agreed. But shooting yourself through the head? What an awful thing for the staff and other patients. Maybe his son-in-law could have taken him out in a wheelchair, and took him somewhere else? |
