Geralda Guabiraba: Unsolved Killing at Pedra da Macumba, 2012
On the night of January 14, 2012, the body of Geralda Lucia Ferraz Guabiraba, 54, was discovered at Pedra da Macumba, a location in Mairipora, Sao Paulo state, Brazil associated with ritual offerings. Her arms were spread open, with a basket in each hand. She had a deep neck wound, her facial skin had been removed, and her eyes were missing. Police first proposed that she had killed herself with poison and that animals had scavenged her remains, but analysis and a subsequent exhumation determined that the neck injury caused her death. The case was then classified as homicide, but was never solved and was archived because of insufficient evidence. |

Unrequited love is love that is not openly reciprocated or understood as such. The beloved may or may not be aware of the admirer's deep and strong romantic affections. The Merriam Webster Online Dictionary defines unrequited as "not reciprocated or returned in kind."In case anyone was wondering what that meant . |
