Gang Related Revenge Killing

Around 9-10pm last Wednesday, Icaro Victor Reis, 20, a local car salesman, was forced to record a message of his impending murder by a rival faction (DMP). This was revenge for the death of one of their leaders, Alex de Jesus Góes(24) aka "The Mask" in a bar shooting in Monte Cristo(27th). In the audio clip, Icaro is heard repeating a message relayed by his killers, which roughly translates to, " And there, I'm going to die here, because of Pingo, Igor and Lázaro, who killed the guy there, are you on? The mask. And that you will die all there, see? "

His killers forced him to throw up their apparent "sign"(3 fingers) and snapped a picture(below). Soon thereafter he was killed. The killers also posted a picture(below) right after showing one holding a gun to his lifeless body.

The following morning, 31st, his body was found around Santa Rita street in the neighborhood of Maria Pinheiro. He had multiple gunshot wounds in the abdomen, head and neck along with machete blows. It's also possible rocks were also used as there was blood found on nearby stones.

On the morning of Friday, June 1st in Pontalzinho at the apparent HQ of the faction, eight people were arrested in connection with the murder, including one of the leaders, Marjorie Maia Bonfim(48), a Bachelor of Laws.
Gabriel Araújo Silva and Alexandre Pereira were also arrested along with 3 teenagers, two of whom are girls. Among items seized were three caliber revolvers 38, a 12 caliber rifle and a 380 pistol. In addition , a notebook and an annotated notebook on drug trafficking. Apparently they rented out other houses too to mislead police.
