It's really interesting to see how the deceased are treated and presented in different religions and customs. I am intrigued by the post mortem portraits that were taken of the dead, usually with living relatives, during Victorian times. Really strange...

Anubis? Nah, he was only really obsessed with the funerals of girls and young women, especially with regard to their hair and makeup. Weird as weird can fucking be, but not the same as this poster, I don't believe. Same game, different ballpark. |

More pics of people in repose. Emile has a gigantic collection. I collect photos of living people, but to each, their own! My family and many of the families I worked with in the Funeral Industry continued this very Victorian style of remembrance. Good post, Emile. I admire your dedication!  pimp:....I should post some of the well known bands and musicians I use to hang out with in my youth. Many are dead now.
