Recently went to a friends 'viewing'. They seem to like that here in the US. I have to say, she looked bloody awful. There is no way I am going to allow people to 'view' me laying dead in a box. Geez I could have made my friend look better than they did. Her make up was awful. It looked nothing like her and I wish I hadn't gone to the viewing. At least this guy has some colour in his face.   |

The thing is, religion teaches us that we relinquish our worldly possessions upon death, yet many cultures insist on giving these very things to the dead.

Its no much we LIKE it, its just part of US. When some 1 passes, we hold a viewing, its optional to have it open casket or not. Its not like im viewing a fresh dead body that was killed monents ago.. |
