Fulani Herdsmen Kill 17 As They Leave Church

Happened this morning.

Suspected Fulani herdsmen have attacked Ayar Mbalom community in Gwer East Local Government Area killing two priests and 17 other church members.

According to reports, Fulani herdsmen attacked a Catholic Church, St. Ignatius’ Catholic Church, Ayar-Mbalom, and Parishioners who went for 5.30am Mass.

The two priests(pictured before death) killed are, Rev. Fathers Joseph Gor(body is in back of van wearing yellow shirt with blood) and Felix Tyolaha(not sure where he's at in the pile of bodies).

The woman pictured on the bed with blue shorts actually survived that leg injury as far as what's been reported, but her daughter died. The man pictured in a full suit was beheaded and his remains are pictured in what appears to be a coffin. There also appears to be a pic of a young child being laid on top of bodies in back of truck. Lastly, a husband/wife double pic.

So what is going on with those Fulani *******? Seems like they are always having fun where ever they go. I have never seen one of those captured or put to prison, do they even search for them?

I agree with you. What changed to make them so popular? Weird!

Re: Fulani Herdsmen Kill 17 As They Leave Church

It's a scenario out of the 1800's wild west:

"Fulani herdsmen and farmers conflict in Nigeria is a land resource based conflict in north-eastern Nigeria. According to a Human Rights Watch report of December 2013 violence between Fulani herdsmen, farmers and local communities had killed 3,000 people since 2010. Violence between Fulani herdsmen and local communities is located in Nigeria’s middle belt regions (refer to Centre of Operations). Fulani herders and farmers are in constant violent conflict over herdsmen’s increased need for access to grazing lands against the expansion of farmland by farmers into corridors traditionally used by the Fulani. Farmers accuse the Fulani herders of allowing their animals to feed on still-growing crops and contamination of community watering-places. The Fulani herders in turn accuse the farmers of denying them access to grazing areas when alternatives cannot be found."
