Good point, but I will take a few guesses. 1. There might be a mistake with the translation from the original article. 2. The possibilities blancadon mentioned. 3. Their law enforcement officials have a tendency to "forget" someone is being charged with a crime for the right price. I am not cognizant of Brazilian politics to say for sure how prevalent corruption is over there. However, in places like Thailand, corruption and bribary happens all the time in law enforcement. Anyway, that's my 2 Somali schillings.  |
