Frenchman Found Dead in Thai Hotel Room with Slit Neck
December 2015. A 52-year-old Frenchman, C.F.P.R., was found dead in a hotel room in Ban Sam Phrao, Udon Thani province. He hadn't been seen since the previous day, and a "strange fishy smell" had been detected from his room. Glass shards were found near where the corpse was found, in the bathroom. With wounds on wrists and neck, it was deemed to be a suicide.                     |

Oh my gawd, that's a brutal way to go  In case it really was a suicide, I can imagine he likely was full of hatred toward himself because the method is so violent. However, the investigator group photos always make me chuckle a bit. Are they taking these pics for souvenirs?  |

Sorry, but my assumption, based on my extensive training at the Colombian School of Forensic Science and Plumbing, is that this was NOT a suicide. He just wanted to become a mime. Unfortunately, his skills were not up to the task, and he died in the attempt. Also, it's traditional for Thai first responders to see who can be the first pointer. It's bragging rights for them, so the competition on this is always intense. (In fact, the 2nd guy on the left's FAMILY name is Poin Terh.) ALSO, Nice post, Crux!! |

I honestly don't know why, in south-east Asian countries, they have their pictures taken with the corpse. It's so inappropriate.

Another example of one of the last methods of suicide I would ever choose, should I ever be in that position.
