Frankzinho do 40 and Tonga Found Dismembered in Suitcases, Manaus, 2013
In late May 2013, suitcases containing the dismembered remains of two fugitives were recovered from the Rio ***** near Ponta Negra beach in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil. One suitcase was seen on the morning of May 27, 2013, and another holding the rest of the body parts was located along the same area the following day. The victims were identified by police as Frank Oliveira da Silva, known as Frankzinho do 40, a south-zone Manaus drug trafficker whose family recognized him from a tattoo, and Antonio Carlos da Costa Uchoa, known as Tonga, a robber. They had left the semi-open regime at the Anisio Jobim prison complex on Friday, May 24, 2013, and were wanted as fugitives when they were killed, shot and dismembered. Police later said an imprisoned rival trafficker had ordered the murders, but the case stalled and no conviction was ever reported. |

What a gruesome discovery If you're going to dump murder victims in a body of water why not just go the full Monty and dump them into the ocean? Unless, of course, you want the bodies to be found. That might be the case here. |
