Four Killed and Eight Injured in Attacks in Great Joao

Wednesday the 19th of Nov., four people were killed and eight injured in shooting and stabbing attacks.

During the morning, a 16- year-old was hit by shots from a firearm in the neighborhood of John Paul II. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital in serious condition. Police still do not know who made the shots, or the motivation of crime.

During the afternoon, four boys were victims of a shooting while talking in front of a home in their neighborhood. According to Police, a man had approached the young people then pulled his gun and shot the four victims, with one of them dying at the local hospital.

Two of the boys, minors, were rescued by Samu. One suffered two shots in one arm, and one shot on his leg. The other suffered a minor shot in the back, and another in his leg, which caused a fracture.

According to a spokesperson for the health institute, one of them was still in critical condition and another is in stable. Local residents have reported seeing the shots when the criminal ran, and entered a gray car a few meters away from the crime scene. Rounds were conducted in the vicinity of the site, but no suspect was located.

Lather in the afternoon, a young man was shot and another assaulted in Middle River neighborhood in the town of Bayeux. Police suspect the crime was committed by two teenagers who arrived at the site armed and on a bike. The victims are 27 and 19 years of age. Minutes before that killing, a 17- year-old was shot in the neighborhood of Novais. He was rescued by an ambulance and firefighters rushed him to the hospital. There, the 17 year old underwent medical emergency procedures. As bulletin issued by the health unit on the morning of Thursday the 20th, his clinical condition is considered critical.

Again in District Industries in the Community Gauchinha already during the night a 43 year old man was shot to death. According to the PM, he was drinking in a bar when he was approached by an unidentified individual. Police indicated that the victim's son could be involved in drug trafficking, but did not know whether there is any relationship to the crime.

Around 2100hr, in the Alto do Matthew West, a neighborhood man, still unidentified, was shot dead. Police are still investigating the case and had no detailed information about the incident.

In Alhambra, the metropolitan area of the capital of Paraiba, a man with no identification has been injured by a stabbing at around 2300hr on Wednesday the 19th. He was rescued by an ambulance and is admitted to the hospital of Joao Pessoa. As medical bulletin, his health is SERIOUS.
