Former Cop Killed Over Argument About Payment for a Snack
The victim was identified as a former civilian cop of Ederson Bezerra de Souza, 39. According to information from relatives of the former police officer, Ederson would have left home to go to a nearby diner. At the scene, the victim would have disagreed with the owner of the snack, identified only as "Levi." The discussion between the two and initiated due to a debt that the victim would have with the owner of the cafeteria. In the heat of the argument, Levi would have drawn a gun and shot Ederson with a bullet in the head. The man even tried to escape but fell because of the injury. Ederson did not resist and died on the spot, before the arrival of the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu). After the crime the suspect fled to ignored location. Relatives went to the place besides many curious around the body. Military policemen of the 10th Interactive Community Company (Cicom), which isolated the area until the arrival of experts from the Institute of Criminalistics of the Civil Police. The body was removed to the headquarters of the Medical Legal Institute (IML), in the neighborhood of the New City in the north of the capital, where he will undergo necropsy examinations before being released to his relatives. The Homicide and Homicide Police (DEHS) must investigate the crime.     |
