Re: The Forest Where People Commit Suicide
Yes, I know this hottest suicide spot at the foot of Mt. Fuji in the Prefecture of Yamanashi, where my father's business friend, Mr. Takeda lives. I had a short visit there 7 years ago and Mr. Takeda told me that there are ppl committed suicide EVERYDAY, and hikers don't need to go very deep into it to find bodies. Villagers who live nearby have been troubled by the extreme high suicide rate there but the local gov just doesn't have effective measure to keep those depressed from committing suicide there. Can't blame the officials because it's a vast wooded area and there's no way to completely block every entrance.

Re: The Forest Where People Commit Suicide
Rough translation on the sign in picture, if anyone cares: This is a great(big) decision. Think about the impacts. (Let's) Think about your siblings, your family, your children. Please don't enter here by yourself. Only a rough translation, but I know enough Nihongo (Japanese) to be able to translate most of that. |
