I read that most suicides in Japan occur at the end of the fiscal year, when the financial quarters are at an end. I think its around early fall, lol just saying that's when their suicides spike.

In Japan, a student's fate is basically sealed by a group of exams taken during the equivalent of the senior year of high school. If you score high enough on them, you can go to college. Score lower, and you get vocational school or less. A fair number of Japanese students end up committing suicide because they got a low score on the tests and can do nothing to change the course that has been laid out for them.
