The youth confessed to the allegations against him and reenacted his suspected actions on Monday, police added.


After seeing the flames grow out of control, the boy became panicked, “ran back to his school [in Usfiya], and did not report the fire to anyone,” police said.

The boy will appear before the Haifa Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday morning for a remand hearing.

Coastal Police spokesman Mor Inbar told The Jerusalem Post that four additional Usfiya youths had been questioned in recent days in connection with the water pipe incident. They included two brothers, aged 16 and 14, who were arrested on Sunday. The brothers were released by the Haifa District Court on Monday after Judge Avraham Elyakim accepted an appeal by attorneys representing them, against a decision by the Haifa Magistrate’s Court to keep them in custody until Wednesday.

So there you have it. It's a Druze community. Not Jewish.

In the evening of 6 December, police announced that a 14 year-old resident of Isfiya admitted to inadvertently starting the fire. The teen told investigators that after smoking a nargila, he threw a lit coal into an open area and was so shocked by the result that he returned to school without telling anyone what he had done.

Druze Member of Knesset Ayoob Kara, a resident of Isfiya near where the fire broke out, had said on the evening of 2 December that he had received information that the fire was a terror act. MKs Ya'akov Katz and Michael Ben-Ari also cited the possibility that the fire was an act of terrorism and called for an investigation

The boy comes from a Druze family so he could hardly be Jewish. He admitted starting the fire and even demonstrated to police how the fire started.

Actually it was Druze. And the Druze are not so nice either. And after this fire many palistinians did some copy cat arsons. Most were arrested.
