Five Women Shot Dead at Brothel in Itajá, Brazil, July 15, 2015
Five women were shot dead at a bar operating as a brothel in Itajá, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, early on July 15, 2015. Four armed men entered the establishment and shot the women in the head in separate rooms, using long- and short-barreled firearms. The victims were Patrícia Regina Nunes, 37, who owned the establishment; Antônia Francisca Bezerra Vicente; Maria da Conceição Pedrosa; Maria Daiane Batista; and Cássia Rayane Santiago Silva, 17. Police said Nunes was the intended target and that the other four women were killed to eliminate witnesses.       |
