Fig 4. Appears to have had a Y incision on the chest area, evident through the stitches (trying its best to hold the innards in) that were placed there after its fun time in the coroners office. Too common in the body farms…  |

I knew someone who was found deceased on December 2 and the examiner determined that she had been dead for about 10 days. She had 2 dogs, a pug and a larger dog, who lived with her; they were still alive and no doubt happy to see someone come in to rescue them. Sounds gross, but I wonder what she looked like when she was found, and did the dogs chew on her at all.

Beautiful is the concept of earthly remains providing such nourishment to underlying growth. I'd love for my corpse to fertilize a pecan tree. Even in death, I'll just keep Nutting over and over.
