On the morning of Friday (04) five bandits were killed during exchange of fire with police after robbing a store.

According to the Civil Police, at least 10 heavily armed men would assault the agency and taken several bags of money, but during the flight, as they past the highway they were surprised by civil and military police, after exchange of fire five criminals eventually died on the spot.

Hostages were used during the escape as a human shield, but were released near a site of the State University. One of the bags with money was abandoned by the criminals and the rest was taken by the thieves who managed to escape.

The police found 6 firearms, a point 40, a FAL rifle, one carbine MAGAL, a FAMAE 12 gauge shotgun and two 9mm pistols. A woman may be related to the group has been arrested.
