Porto Velho - The body of a man who died by drowning was found at about 16:00 on Monday (17) on the left bank of the Madeira River, near the community of San Sebastian.
The victim was identified as a man who disappeared last Wednesday (12) during a desperate attempt to save his two children who were drowning: he saved the children, but failed to escape the strong current, several searches for his body were unsuccessful.

A group of friends were fishing at the site when the net pulled the body that was completely torn apart by piranhas and candirù attacks.

The family identified the body through a rubber that had been implanted in a knee ligament and by the underwear.
