I don't know about the other stuff but as far as the handcuffing to the bed, yeah, they can do that. My brother was in the hospital for unlawful pursuit and felony evading. The driver (my brother was the passenger) missed a turn and crashed headon into a concrete canal embankment at 90 mph. My brother had a broken collarbone, broken nose, contusions, and worse of all, two broken vertabrae in his back. The cops came in and handcuffed him to the bed. WTF!? Really, did they think he was gonna get up and run "again"?!?!

Thats weird. Reminds me of The Wild Angels, where they rescue the guy from the hospital, but he croaks without medical attention. The biker gang breaks into the hospital, I can't remember if they take the bed with them. It would be funny to fuck with the cops, cut the bed to get the cuffs off, or take the bed with you.
