Here’s the story. “Horrific road accident: Log pins driver to death MANILA, Philippines – A truck driver met a gruesome death Monday morning in Valenzuela City after he was crushed by a protruding log loaded on a trailer truck he was trailing along McArthur Highway in Barangay Karuhatan. The Valenzuela City Police said Ronald Hular,38, was driving an Isuzu Elf truck when the log broke through his vehicle’s windshield and crushed his head. Superintendent David Nicholas Poclay told INQUIRER.net that they are still investigating whether or not the trailer truck suddenly stopped and triggered the horrific mishap. The driver of the truck carrying the log was identified as 39-year-old Dickson Libante. Investigators said that both vehicles were on the north-bound McArthur Highway when the incident happened. Police said Libante would be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in homicide and damage to property.” |
