The Peruvian National Police found the body of PNP sub-officer Marleni M.R.S, 27, was found in a rugged area.

The young woman had been reported missing since February 21, when she left her workplace during working hours.

According to the investigation, security cameras captured the sub-officer boarding a red truck that allegedly belonged to police officer José E.V.A, 52, who was arrested in this case.

The vehicle was later handed over to the authorities in Lima by the suspect's brother for forensic examination.

Jose is currently under a preventive detention order by judicial provision, while investigations continue to clarify the facts. confessed to the crime during a judicial hearing. He subsequently led authorities to the exact location where he had abandoned her body.

Preliminary autopsy results indicate that the officer died from a gunshot wound to the head.

Investigations revealed that Jose’s brother, Mateo, was found in Lima with the suspect's vehicle, a red Ford Ranger.

The brother admitted that the suspect ordered him to change the front passenger seat to hide bloodstains.

Forensic luminol tests later confirmed traces of human blood in the vehicle despite cleaning efforts.

The case is now being handled by the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Violence Against Women.

While Marleni was a student of law and knew Jose as a colleague and trusted family acquaintance, her mother has explicitly, denied any romantic relationship between the two.

Not sure if that is standard protocol over there but they seem to the same in China and some parts of Asia

I have to think they are more concerned over foreign contamination from other sites than they are the cleanliness of the scene. Though a full autopsy like this is rare in the west,we often will strip a body and tent it using a cyanoacrylate to see if prints on the body are apperent. That process takes around a day
