I too wondered about the doves as well.
She was banged up pretty bad. She probably died quickly since
it appears she was not wearing a helmet, resulting in brittle brain.

Recently I was walking home from the liquor store, and I witnessed a car going around 80 mph miss a curve and hit a ditch. The driver went through the windshield, maybe 50 yards from where I was standing. I ran over to him, expecting the worse, and he stands up, bloody, but pretty much fine. He had to have been thrown at least 20 yards. He was also high as a kite, so I figure that kept him limber enough to not break every bone in his body.

The cops showed up almost immediately, they had been chasing him.

So I almost got a good gawk at death.... almost.
