Female Mexican Cop Killed in Argument
35 year old agent for the Federal Police in Mexico was killed yesterday with a single GSW to the head. The killing occurred in her own living room and was perpetrated by her neighbor, with whom she had allegedly had a series of long-standing feuds. He was also injured and taken to the hospital. As you can see, the Lady Policia did not fare so well.

They were both cops of some sort? That's weird. Or did my source screw up the story? Maybe he was the cop and she was some other sort of government functionary? Sometimes my translations get slippery at 3am.

The focus of the gendarmerie is on providing ongoing public security in areas with heavy criminal activities and providing border security. It is also expected to reinforce state, city and municipal police forces when the need arises. It is one of the seven constituent divisions of the Federal Police reporting directly to the Commissioner so yeah their some sort of colleagues. Was in the header of an article and further along the read it said it wasn't official he was a cop but maybe the subject of a cop killing another cop is too sensitive too bring as news (yet) at this point.

My first suspicion is, she was viewed as some kind of threat to a Corruption Payoff 'Gravy Train'.
