Non-spanish speaking people, in this case me, get them from mexican news affiliates and then run them through Google fucking translators in order to give some semblance of background. Both the translator software and the writer's interpretation are subject to error. The translator said 'alley'. It could have meant porch, back yard, stoop, street, curb, fucking foyer, or any other number of things that my limited grasp of Spanish couldn't sort out the nuances of. As with all criticisms of this sort, if you think you can do a better job, I heartily invite you to start spending your time sifting through foreign-language press releases and news articles, translate them with your masterful command of worldly linguistics, and present them here in a format of interest to the casual reader of this forum. Oh wait, what? You haven't posted anything in this forum aside from inane commentary? No photos? No articles? Only bullshit? Well, go fuck yourself then with your complaining about my translation, thanks. Put up or shut up. |

Thanks for your courteous reply. If your original response to my post wasn't meant as a snipe, then I apologize for getting snarky and barking at you. Believe it or not, it takes a pretty ridiculous amount of time and effort to find a lot of this stuff from other countries. Very very little of the stuff I post here is just cross-posted from UR or Ogrish or VD or anything. The vast majority of it comes from original foreign news sources that I spend hours combing through every week and you guys see it here before I post it anywhere else and well before it goes 'viral' on the gore scene. So I tend to get a bit touchy when people drop into the thread and start bitching about petty shit like my word choice in the translation. Again, sorry for being a dick about it and thanks for replying courteously. |
