I'm pretty sure those are mangoes. Some countries like 'em green and sprinkled with salt, and I'm presuming the fruit might have something to do with the accident, I think the former-woman-now-orange-gory-blob was passing one to the driver.

I've found more pics of this crash: it was an head-on collision with a bus, and judging from what I see, it was definately the car driver's fault, since she crossed the center line.
