Okay so here was my thinking: 1. Herman posts great stuff. This we know. 2. Jessica17 was not a fan of one of his recent posts, however. She took him to task for a post looking fake. 3. Many bombarded her with laser-guided rebuke regarding her assessment of Herman's work. 4. Earler in this thread, I was getting a sense that the collective we were getting in some thinly-veiled jabs, again regarding Jessica17's previous posts on Herman's other thread (it was the thread where a person's face was used as a chew toy by a non-human - canine, if memory serves). It was great fun, at least I thought. 5. Bagpuss posted a response based on the main theme of this thread, re: guy bleeds out after nicking a seemingly minor artery on his noodle. Unfortunately, it happened to be in the middle of what I thought was a bit of semi-mean-spirited fun at Jessica17's expense. (Too bad she's not putting in the work to reply herself.) 6. I, seeing an opening, thought it would be humorous to tell Bagpuss that he shouldn't derail a thread by actually posting about the source thread instead of the tangent that the thread had taken. Tounge-in-cheek, ya know. 7. Bagpuss was accused of trolling, or maybe it was I being accused. That I am kinda cloudy on. My intent was, as I said, to be a bit cheeky, as the British say, about the zigs and zags the thread had taken. Telling Bagpuss that he shouldn't dare re-zero the crosshair on the actual topic wasn't taken in jest, and for that i apologize(d). Did I clear that up? |
