Farmer Kills His Uncle With A Hoe
A farmer was in his field hoeing weeds when he was surprised by his uncle, a retired 74 year old who lived next door.
The farmer hit his uncle with the hoe in the head, face, cheat and back. He was rushed to hospital but died there.
The accused said he hit his uncle in self defense. His uncle appeared on the farm, very drunk and was armed with a scythe. He apparently went to strike the farmer so he retaliated, hitting him with the hoe.
The accused was sent to prison.
