On the afternoon of Wednesday, a farmer and a government official were shot dead in Brazil. According to the military police information the victims were "surprised" as they left a farm in Córrego Virgulina.
The first victim died behind the wheel of the vehicle, when he was hit in the face with several bullets. The second victim was out of the car to open the gate and also shot several times. Also according to the military police, inside the car was R $ 32,550.00 in cash, US $ 132,607.50 in checks and two .38 handguns, but nothing was taken by criminals. Two employees working near the scene of the crime managed to escape running through the bush and said three men took part in the crimes. The gunmen escaped.
