Family of Three Found Executed in Their Front Yard

Police were called to an apartment complex in a quiet, residential neighborhood in this Mexican town for a report of several people lying (presumably unconscious) in front of their house. The neighborhood has no history of violence nor frequent drug activity and the crowd that gathered to survey the scene expressed shock and horror at the events as they unfolded.

When the police arrived, they quickly discovered that rather than three unconscious persons, a father (43), mother (40), and son (20) were lying dead on their front porch.

All three had been bound and suffocated by having all air passages wrapped tightly with electrical tape. The father and son also had USB cables wrapped around their throat, so strangulation was a contributing factor to the suffocation for them. The mother had a ligature around her neck, but it was loose and not tied, so was presumed to have suffocated slowly due to the mask of tape on her face.

The family's pickup truck, usually parked in the driveway, was not found and it is presumed that the assailants absconded with it. None of the neighbors heard or saw any signs of violence or suspicious activity prior to the discovery of the corpses yesterday morning. They were estimated to have been dead less than two hours when discovered.

Home invasion, I'm guessing? Why would they put them outside, would have given them more getaway time to leave them indoors. Bizarre.

That's some hardcore shit for a happenstance home invasion. Suffocation and public display?

No hard facts yet (just happened earlier today), but my money is on a targeted hit. Drogas. Probably the son.
