Re: Family Obliterated

they must have fell over a cliff or something since they look like they're on the side of a small mountain...or they were doing 90 on a gravel road with kids in the back of the truck??

Re: Family Obliterated

When I used to go scuba diving in Mexico, it was common to see a car upside down in the median, with it's top collapsed, and a bunch of people standing around waiting for the morgue people. Mexican highways have a 4 inch drop-off from the pavement to the shoulder, so once you get off the road, you are truly screwed. If you are not going to fast, you can slow down, but if you were really racing along, it's going to be bad. The drop from the pavement automatically guarantees a launch off the road.
Plus, as was already observed, no seatbelts being worn....Too bad about the kids.

Re: Family Obliterated

I have a feeling some were riding in the bed of the truck.

Funny thing that is. In the US, it is illegal to ride a small child in the front seat and not using a seatbelt is just as illegal.

But, in many states (Florida being one) it is FINE to ride children, adults, babies (and animals) in the bed of a pick up.

How fucked up is that?
That's what I was thinking...
