Re: Family of Drowned Russians

Weird how their one arm is in the same position while in rigor
Arm rest on tour bus. Doubtful they kept perfectly still while ferry sank though.....a mystery.

Re: Family of Drowned Russians

These bodies are relativity fresh. The onset of rigor mortis sets in just hours after death and it usually lasts about 24 hours depending on atmosphere and condition of the body.

Re: Family of Drowned Russians

My theory is that they were drinking and ran out of vodka, in their drunken stupor they mistook the ocean for a huge bottle of vodka, dove in and drank their fill until they drowned.

Damn russians....
Heatwave - and vodka - leads to 200 drownings in a single week (from independent.co.uk)
http://ind.pn/9qSBoo

Up to 95 per cent of the drowning deaths are of drunk males. The incidents mostly occur away from supervised beaches; often in isolated ponds and lakes located near dachas – the country houses where city-dwelling Russians go on weekends to relax and drink with family and friends.

Last week six children from Moscow drowned during a school trip to the Azov sea in the south of the country. A criminal case has been opened against two of their teachers, who were allegedly drunk when supervising the children and told them to swim in an isolated beach without lifeguards.
